Cat Breeds, Care and History ***
The relationship between cats and humans goes back to almost 4,000 years ago, and even though it has had its ups and downs throughout history, it has never been as solid as it is today. Since long cats have earned their place as home pets. In some places they have even taken dog's position, which possibly shows human life style as it currently is. Cats are easier to take care of and also take less time and space than dogs do. Whatever the reason, today's world tends to favor more a cat as companionship animals.
It is always interesting to learn more things about our pets, and this is precisely the objective of this piece of work. The author is a great cat lover and has lived with them over 30 years and one thing he has clear is that no matter how much we think we know about them, cats have an innate capacity to keep on surprising us. Maybe this is one of the qualities why we are so attracted to cats, because we never get to know them as well as we do our dogs or our best friends. As Mr. Walter Scott said, "Cats are mysterious and more goes through their minds than we could ever imagine."
There are two questions that the reader must have in mind, one is about the chapter about breeds and the other is referred to the cats health section.
In a book like this it turns out to be necessary to minimize the description of the ideal characteristics that the members of the individual breeds must have due that they vary very much from one country to another. If you want more information about the rules of exhibitions in your country, go to a feline organization.
As for cats illnesses the most common problems are included here. However, we must point out that the self treatment must be limited and that it is always better to ask vets. In case of emergency there are animal associations that offer help or orientation about what to do.
