A cats basic needs

Like all pets, cats require of some basic needs. Just like other animals and humans, cats need daily food, water as well as occasional veterinary visits and a nice and safe place to live and grow up in. 

Food and water: It's safer to start out by giving your new cat or kitten the same type of food its previous owner was giving it. If you just acquired a kitten, you could also ask your veterinarian about the best type of food for that specific breed. Changing a cat's food too suddenly can upset its stomach.

Make sure that your cat or kitten always has fresh water available to drink. And of course, make sure to change this water daily.

Basic necessities

If you own a cat, there are some basic things it needs:

• Cat food and bowl
• Water and cat water bowl
• A soft bristled brush
• A soft bed or a cushioned cardboard box
• A litter box with sand
• A lot of love and care
