 | Cat AsphyxiaIf your cat presents problems to breathe, the first step that you have to follow is clean the air way pulling the tongue forwards; then stick your finger inside carefully to remove any rest of mucus or to identify the presence of some object; marble, ball, bones etc. Sometimes it is necessary to withdraw the mucus with an aspiration pump for babies. For aspiration you must introduce the pump previously compressed with the fingers into the throat carefully not to hurt the area; then, stop pressing the pump so it can suck the mucus and withdraw it.
