Cardiac Failures of Cat
The sudden cardiac failures are slightly frequent in the cats, although more than it's believed. In most of the cases they are to consequence of some another crisis of importance. In order that the feline survives, it is necessary that he overcomes the above mentioned crisis.
Does the cat show some of the following symptoms?:
- Breathes with difficulty
- Motion faculties diminished
- Whitish or bluish gums
- Cough or pant.
- Blood does not come back to the gums after pressing them
- Erratic pulse
- Trend to hide YES
Pectoral or cardiac disease
Has he collapsed?
Does he have the pale or whitish gums?
Is his pulse weak or not beating? YES
Cardiac failure. Give CPR. Go to the veterinarian NOW.
In case of cardiac failure
- Look for the pulse or the beatings of the heart. Press the gums of the animal and see if it returns the blood to the zone pressed when you retire the finger.
- If you do it, the heart continues getting drunk still. Do the artificial breathing to him if it is precise and take him to the veterinarian immediately
- If the heart has stopped, give him cardiac massage and make to him the artificial breathing (CPR). Go to the veterinarian immediately.
