Burmese Cat Breed

Burmese cat apparently comes from the monasteries in Burma where this breed is revered as a divinity. It is related to Siamese cats, and it was imported from Rangoon to the U.S. in 1920.

This breed is very fond of human beings and is always looking to receive much attention. The Burmese cat must never be left outside the house because it is very self-confident and has not developed a survival instinct.

It has a triangle shape little head, bulky chin, broad base and rounded tip ears and oriental eyes. Medium sized and muscle tight, with rounded chest and thin legs It has a long thin sharp tail. It has a short, fine and shiny hair. The 4 main colors of this breed are champagne or golden, blue, platinum and dark.

Its an intelligent cat, affectionate, sociable and good hunter. It is also sensitive to cold weathers.
