Burma Cat Breed

So they say, this cat comes from the monasteries on Burma where the monks cared and worshipped them.

On the year of 1930, an American took a female Burmese cat to the united states. There, they mated her with a male Siamese, and so was produced the first planned breed.

With the Siamese, the Burma is actually one of the short hair races that are most popular in North America. A breeding between the Burma and a Siamese is denominated as Tonkanese.

Aspect: it has a strong medium sized body. Blunt head, between cuneiform and rounded a clear low cut. The ears are separated, with a wide base and rounded tips.

Hair : short, shiny, dense, smooth, very thin and close to the body.

Color: the original color of the Burma is worm dark brown, that hereditary is black. Actually, they are also bred in blue, chocolate, lilac, red, cream, tortoise shell, seal-tortie, blue tortie and lilac-tortie , on all the Burma, the belly must be lighter than the back and the legs.

Eyes: they are big and very expressive, of an amber gilt color.
