British Short Hair Cat Breed

The British short-hair is probably the oldest English cat breed having as ancestors the domestic Roman cat.

The breeder was Mr. Harrison Weir from the European short-hair cat. It has afterward received blood from the Persian cat. This breed is valued for its physical strength, its ability in hunting, its calm disposition and its fidelity towards men.

It has a solid rounded head, wide and short neck, wide nose, big rounded ears and big rounded eyes. Its body is well-built, it has a wide chest, short strong legs, and a thick short tail rounded at the tip. Its hair is short and dense and there are at least 17 different colors.

This cat is very popular between the followers due to its simple nature, its intelligence and because its maintenance and cleaning are not complicated.
