British Blue Cat Breed

Origin
They were known by the name of Archangel because the Vikings took them to Archangel Port in Russia and later on they were taken to England. It is believed that the Russians used their hair to make clothes because their hair is short and thick with an internal layer that helps them stay warm.

Their pale blue color, green emerald eyes and hair that has a shiny aspect given by the silvering of their inner layer.

This breed is so similar to the British Blue, that even in official competitions, where exists great experts, would get confused until they were separated as different breeds, establishing different characteristics between them.

It is believed that this breed originated from the European domestic cat that in order to adapt to the cold, would change hair and eye color.

Characteristics
They have short, soft and pouffy hair, which doesn't need of many cares, but it is always good to brush hard to remove dead hair.

The females are silent and very cautious during the zeal, making it difficult to know when they are in heat.

Their cranium is narrow and flatten, the neck and ears are long and the eyes almond shaped. The body is long, slender but because their skin it makes it look short. The tail is long with a moderate thick base
