All your kitten needs

Kitten Needs + Accessories

To have it at home, you must make some acquisitions to cover all its necessities.

Toilet:

The plastic basins with the borders to the inside are practical, with them you almost don't have to put gravel on the exterior. The home toilets with roof have the advantage that the urine odor won't spread through out the hose. The roof must have height of 40 centimeters. On the automatic toilets, when the cat is finished with its needs, a carrying belt transports gravel out and fills again the recipient. Another model neutralizes the odor through the gravel.

The natural gravel can be (without asbestos), deodorant and absorbent. Organic gravel can be thrown away along with the organic garbage. To prepare and clean the toilet, fill a recipient with gravel to height of 5 to 8 centimeters. To eliminate the excrements, use an special shovel with holes (buy in a specialized establishment), through them the gravel not used falls again into the toilet. To throw away the excrements on a daily basis is important, cats will not use toilet if dirty. They will go to any other corner in the house. Once a week, empty the toilet and clean it with hot water.

Food receptacle: The feeding a drinking receptacles made of ceramics or porcelain are stable and resistant to washing detergents and to microwaves. For fresh food and for drinking water, a diameter of 20 centimeters is enough. For dry food, you can use a higher and smaller receptacle (10 centimeters in diameter). You can get the dry food provider in the specialized establishments . the automatic with temporizers are practical if you want to leave for a weekend and don't have no one to care for the cat, wash the receptacles with water, everyday.

Transporters: The plastic boxes for cats transportation can be easily cleaned and disinfected, they have a grated door, are dismountable and, doesn't occupy much space. The special plastic bags have a window on one side and at the other breathing holes, as does a zipper to close it. They are also secure for cat transportation. Osier baskets with grated doors are attractive. But, are dangerous for the cats, due to possible splinters.

Scratching tree: Cats have to sharpen its nails, since they are important instruments to fight rivals, for hunting and climbing trees. Cats that live free uses the barks of the trees for this operation. Those start to damage furniture and tapestry. So that can sharpen its nails, special establishments have prepared for it shelves that can be easily put diagonally against the wall. They are also adequate for scratching cardboard, posts, trees for scratching and climbing or to climb and wall, on which cats can climb and rest in cavities. Likewise, there are dismountable trees for scratching and climbing. Fasten the tree to the ground, walls or roof, by the means of hooks, if it swings the cat won't use it..

By the way, I by myself have created several objects for scratching and playing, using round receptacles for detergents. For this, empty it, clean interior and exterior and put a tapestry on the outside.
