Abyssinian Cat

Although the Abyssinian cat is one of the oldest breeds, speculations about its origins continue, being the most feasible theory that which states it originally comes from Southeast Asia.

The Abyssinian cat has a thin and slightly triangular head, dark nose, big rounded ears and green, hazel or yellow eyes, a long hairy tail and its fur shows short and thick hair.

Some known varieties are:

  • Hare: with its brownish-orange base color
  • Sorrel: with its reddish-peach base color, and
  • Blue: with its grayish-blue base color

The Abyssinian cat is intelligent and fast learner. Besides, they are great swimmers and climbers. This animal is also very sensible to its owner's mood or state-of-being. Cats consider playing with its owners on a daily basis, tending to become closer to or attached to a specific member of the family.
