Invagination in Dog
Invagination is an intestine obstruction in which part of it enters the one that is immediately above or under. This serious state is accompanied by intense pain pain it mainly shows up in poppies and it can be due to the ingestion of too much purgatives, to the overloading of a part of the intestine or, simply no reason. Veterinary attention is urgent as this state leads to the interruption of the blood flow of the invaginated intestine. This can give way to an acute tumefaction or inflammation with absorption of harmful digestive products, eventually leading the animal to death. The initial symptoms are lack of appetite, restlessness, abdominal pain, tension and blood in the feces. You can feel the tumefaction in the abdomen or a bulging cylindrical mass can come out of the anus with four thick intestinal wall linings.
