Dog Ticks

The different species of dog ticks are parasites and can be considered amongst the worst enemy of dogs due to the violent aggression against their health. Besides transmitting microorganisms of various dangerous blood diseases, they act like transmitting hosts on which other parasites reproduce. Getting rid of ticks is a serious problem although there are lots of effective products on the market, but they should be used with precaution and following all the instructions that are indicated on the product itself.

You should observe and remember the places where your dog might have picked up these parasites and take the dog out of those places. Avoid taking your dog through abandoned properties, with high weed, frequented by

horses and other domestic animals (cattle, pork, etc.). Some species of ticks that are well known in Australia and North America can transmit a disease known as "tick paralysis". The dogs start to feel tired and after a few days they are paralyzed. As you can understand, the attack of the tick goes against the good health of animals, which is why you have to combat them. If you find some adhered to the animal, you can remove them, but never with your hand as that would only remove the body from the head, which remains adhere to the skin, causing infectious injuries. The best way to get rid of them is by applying drops of chrome mercury on the parasite, which will eventually fall off. If there are too many ticks (especially around the womb, sexual organs, ears, tail, etc.), you must urgently take him to the vet who will, besides freeing your dog from such dangerous parasites, exhaustively examine him in order to see if he has been infected, and if so, will administer an adequate treatment.
