Canine Leukemia in Dog
Canine Leukemia in Dog is not a common disease amongst dogs. There is a permanent increase of white blood cells. It is also characterized by a swelling of the spleen and changes in the bone marrow. On occasions there is an increase in all the lymphatic glands. Affected animals tumble in all, show signs of fatigue, depression, capricious or lacking appetite, progressive leanness, as well as general weakness. Little red spots that are hemorrhages under the mucous membrane of the gum and jowl also appear. This disease can last anywhere between a couple of months to many years. You must ask your veterinarian what treatment is best for your dog.
