Canine Dog Virus - Pustular Diseases
Probably the "canine herpes" virus is the cause of this eruptive affliction that affects the mucous membranes of both male and female dogs. The wounds are small papule that can be present in disseminated eruptions or, in more severe cases, as a grainy mass. On occasions, the wounds adopt a hemorrhagic or vesicular character. Contagion can take place in the colon and rectal area - anus; in the penis (male) and in the vagina (female). The symptoms are localized, although sometimes, the diseased animal can turn around as if trying to bite or scratch the affected area. Ask your vet to give you indications as to what you should do and apply. Avoid any mating with an affected dog, be a male or female.
