Canine Diaphragmatocele in Dog

This term Canine Diaphragmatocele refers to the rupture of the diaphragm by where some abdominal organs enter, usually the small intestine, stomach and maybe the spleen or liver, ending up in the thoracic cavity. This can be caused by accidents, falls, jumping from heights, etc. The dog must try to stand up, making the organs fall into the abdominal cavity; this should relieve the pressure on the lungs and making it easy to breathe, which has been pretty affected. Always double-check with the veterinarian.
