Anthrax in Dogs
This is produced by the germ called Antracis, which can attack almost any dog and even man. Nowadays it is more common in countryside dogs. It is supposed that dogs can get this disease by eating the meat and blood of dead animals that had anthrax. The symptoms are high fevers, swollen spleen and in some cases pharyngeal edema. The cause of the disease is found in the blood. In extreme cases, the animal becomes kind of dazed, astonished and unsteady, trying and fighting to breath. All this, along with high fevers. The ears and jaws are cold, while the eyes and nostrils are flushed with blood. After that, your dog might fall down to the ground, followed by unconsciousness and death. If you have a dog that roams around the field alone, pay close attention to him and see if you observe any suspicious symptoms and if so, immediately talk it over with your veterinarian.
