When do allergies start?

It is common for allergies to begin showing up before the age of twenty and the most common is for them to begin appearing in early childhood. Interestingly enough young boys are more likely to suffer from allergies than girls although this model seems to change in adulthood when more women than men are sufferers.

While the tendency to be allergic usually remains constant throughout a sufferer's life the types of allergies or the specific allergens that we are sensitive to can change, come or go, the symptoms can become worse or less intense and even move from one part of the body to another as the sufferer goes through life.

Some people suffer less as they get older but others never find this relief.
