Indoor molds

Molds are microscopic organisms that are known as fungi and can be found almost everywhere both inside your house and out. Mold must have an organic food source to grow and they destroy what they grow on. Mold spores are often present inside homes in abundance and they will grow and proliferate whenever the conditions are favorable. That is to say that if there is moisture and organic material then the molds will thrive. Some of the most common places inside the home where molds prosper are leaky plumbing, damp areas in bathrooms and basements, fridge trays, damp clothes, b

Always use protection when eliminating molds and fungi taking special care to use a facemask with a HEPA filter to keep from inhaling the mold spores. If you have an item that is extremely moldy throw it away. Scrub any other moldy items with soap and hot water and then disinfect it with water and bleach. When doing this type of job make sure to keep all the windows open to air out the house.

Seasonal allergic rhinitis: Seasonal allergic rhinitis, more commonly known as hay fever, is an allergy caused by sensitivity to pollens, grasses, trees, weeds or airborne mold spores. Don't let the word hay fever confuse you though, symptoms are not caused by hay and they do not usually come with fever either. One of the biggest causes of seasonal allergies is Ragweed and many places have numerous ragweed species and these are found in almost every state. Ragweed produces about one million pollen grains during a typical season. And it generally starts to affect people in the spring, summer and early autumn, obviously this can vary depending on where you live and on the types of plants and trees you live around. The more a person is exposed to these pollens, the more frequently the symptoms spurt up.
